This week’s Alumni Spotlight is on Sachi Srivastava, a Spring 2024 graduate, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and Supply Chain Management.
Srivastava’s involvement on campus started early and only grew stronger during her time at ASU. She first joined the Business School Council in Fall 2021 and quickly worked her way into several leadership roles. By Spring 2021, she was serving as Director of Internal Relations. In Fall 2021, Srivastava stepped into the position of Vice President of Administration, a role she held until Spring 2022. Following this, she became Executive Vice President from Fall 2022 through Spring 2023. Her leadership journey culminated in her senior year when she was elected President of the Business School Council, guiding the organization from Fall 2023 to Spring 2024.
Srivastava’s campus leadership didn’t stop there. She was also an active member of the Department of Information Systems Club (DISC), where she served as Vice President of Engagement and later, Vice President of Membership. She even balanced these responsibilities with an on-campus job during her sophomore year.
Reflecting on her time in the Business School Council, Srivastava described her experience as transformative. “BSC helped me learn my true leadership potential while making long lasting friendships with some amazing people. The club was a core part of my collegiate career that helped me grow as a person professionally and personally. Wouldn't trade the experience for anything!” she said.
Srivastava encourages current students to get involved and build connections. “Throughout your four years at Arizona State University, it is okay to feel lost but build some great friendships and make the most out of your four years. Also, don't let impostor syndrome get the best of you." Looking back, she says that if she could do one thing differently, she would have been less afraid to meet new people.
Now, Srivastava is living in New York City, where she works as a Technology Analyst at Deloitte. She’s enjoying exploring the city and trying new restaurants as she adjusts to her post-grad life.
The Business School Council is grateful for Srivastava's contributions as a Member, Director, Vice President, and President. We thank her for her dedication to the council and the broader W.P. Carey community, and we wish her the best of luck in all her future endeavors.
