Alumni Spotlight: Jaden Miramontes

This week’s Alumni Spotlight is Jaden Miramontes, who graduated in the spring of 2024 with a degree in Business Law from ASU! Miramontes's time at ASU was marked by numerous chances for personal and professional development, especially during his active participation in the Business School Council (BSC) and Next Generation Service Corp.

MIramontes's tenure as the Director of Special Events at BSC started his leadership journey, during which he found fulfillment in contributing to the enhancement of the student experience at the W.P. Carey School of Business from behind the scenes. "It was fun to see the behind-the-scenes of the business school and contribute to the experience of the student body," Miramontes reflects. His adept leadership abilities seamlessly translated into organizing and overseeing events that united the business school community. Alongside his active participation in BSC, Miramontes had managed his academic pursuits while remaining dedicated to the Next Generation Service Corp, an organization committed to nurturing leadership and service across various sectors. His commitment to service and leadership left a lasting impression on his peers and the wider ASU community.

In reflecting on his time at BSC, Miramontes characterizes it as "fulfilling and an amazing opportunity to meet some remarkable people." Through his leadership positions, he was able to form strong connections and advance professionally, gaining a deeper insight into effective leadership. Miramontes's advice to current students is straightforward yet impactful: "Try to always be competent, compassionate, and curious in all that you do." He urges students to welcome new opportunities, meet new people, and actively engage during their time at ASU.

Currently residing in New York City, Miramontes holds a position as a Financial Crime Prevention Internal Audit GTP at UBS, leveraging the skills he developed through his leadership roles at ASU. He attributes his professional achievements to a blend of hard work, fortunate circumstances, and the opportunities afforded by the SEO program, which facilitated his acquisition of valuable industry knowledge. Post-graduation life has proven to be a thrilling and fulfilling venture for Jaden. "Fun, exciting, and a lot of learning," he remarks, describing his present phase. He is especially eager to admire the Christmas festivities and absorb the atmosphere of New York City.

Reflecting on his time at ASU, Miramontes values the family connections and strong community that influenced his decision to attend. He fondly remembers his years at the university as "amazing and fun" and encourages students to make the most of their time at ASU. If there was one thing he could do differently, Jaden admits, "I would have tried out to become Sparky!"

The Business School Council is proud to spotlight Jaden Miramontes for his contributions, leadership, and continued success. We wish him the best as he continues to thrive in his career and life in New York City.
